A while back I made a sonnet, because chicks dig sonnets (even though she moved to the other side of the World, so I wouldn't get any).
Anyways, here it is.

For two summers past I have been with you
Your beautiful smile would give me flight
Each morning I would look forward as to
View you and my frozen soul to ignite
A flame which could not be easily tamed
A fire that keeps burning in this time
So brief together we cannot reclaim
Alas our summers gone filled with pains I’m
Awash with emptiness and memories
As vast blue seas have separated us
Without you all my summer diaries
Would be completely blank and meaningless
Even though the earth has torn us apart
Truly you will always be in my heart

I did a freeform list a while back to try and vent in a positive form before I discovered exercise's natural high, I don't know if it really qualifies as a poem but I've heard better versions of the same style at poetry clubs/nights so, here it is.

It's long but actually incomplete, the last paragraph in particular isn't all I had to say about that one lol, and I probably never will complete it as I'm not in a "grrr ex-girlfriends and past flings all piss me off" mood anymore. Each paragraph is a different person, for clarity's sake:

I wanna take some time to apologize to the women in my life
The kinds ones, the unkind ones, the straight up fucked up ones
The beautiful ones, the happy ones, the sad ones, the scared ones
The serious ones, the care free ones, all of you, I'm sorry

I'm sorry I couldn't be the man you wanted me to be
I'm sorry I wasn't perfect by your definition
I'm sorry if I was ever the reason for your pain
I'm sorry your lips stopped uttering my name
I'm sorry if I gave you the awkard eye or a sarcastic sigh
Sorry if I ever told you a lie
I'm sorry I can no longer call you mine
I'm sorry you can no longer call me yours
Sorry we never did go on that world tour
I promised to you
I'm sorry we didn't end up living together
The storm of our relationship was more than I could ever weather
I'm sorry we didn't get the house we talked about
I'm sorry we talked about the future more than the here and now
Maybe we could've figured out why your tears went out
I'm sorry we focused on the drama instead of the good times

I'm sorry you decided to dump me for nothing
I'm sorry one freak out ruined our intimacy entirely
I'm sorry I talk to you and can't tell the truth
I'm sorry I try to fill the gap you left in my heart with meaningless women, if you could even call them all that
I'm sorry for everytime I see you and don't tell you I love you
I'm sorry you made me lose faith in women as whole
I'm sorry I'm incapable of loving anyone but you
And I'm sorry you never did and never can appreciate that

I'm sorry you couldn't be faithful you stupid bitch
I hope you die after weeks on a crucifix
I'm sorry I still can't forgive you after I told you I let it go
Part of me is sorry we're still friends
I'm sorry I talk to you at all

I'm sorry I could never love you back
Even though you're perfect for me the emotion just isn't there
I'm sorry I can't go out with you, even though you'd be good for me
I never did have more than a crush on you
I'm sorry I'll still fuck you, knowing how much I hurt you

I'm sorry I haven't seen you since age 12
I'm sorry from what I hear your life's become hell
I would've gone out with you truly, would've helped you grow into a young lady
I'm sorry now your stuck with his baby
I'm sorry it never happened more than once
I'm sorry I never stood up to her for you

I'm sorry I played you, and broke your heart
Even though part of me is sorry I didn't play you longer
I'm sorry we never made love because I was stuck in the past
I'm sorry I still care about you but you see me as nothing but a liar

I'm sorry you're a complete idiot
I don't like to insult people, but goddamiit woman, what's the matter with you?
I'm sorry when I called I heard another man
I'm sorry you still like me but won't act on it
I'm sorry you chose him over me even after the affections we shared
