Albert N. Wilmarth was a noted folklorist and assistant professor of English at Miskatonic University. Wilmarth became involved in the debate over the inhuman bodies seen after the Vermont floods of 1927. Wilmarth strongly asserted that the creatures sighted in the waters did not exist, and after a spirited defense of his viewpoints inexplicably dropped out of the debate. Later, he visited a correspondence in Vermont, but upon arriving found his friend to be missing. The subsequent investigation turned up little evidence, and Wilmarth returned to Arkham baffled. Wilmarth became ill in 1937 and died shortly thereafter.

So now you know who Wilmarth was. As far as meeting him, your best bet is paying a visit to Christchurch Cemetery. Or have a coffee and forget about the whole thing.

Yeah, but the last time anyone tried that out it created a rift in space-time and three blocks were decimated after the spatial rift collapsed.
