Oh good heavens

Saving animals by not eating them? Actually, when we started eating buffalo, their numbers skyrocketed because their existence became profitable. That may be a sad truth, but it is a truth nonetheless.

Lot more cows today, too... Being on mankind's 'edible' list is great for your species, not so great for you personally, I guess.

Hmmm... Never thought about that. Guess that blows a hole in my whole "stop homelessness and hunger by eating the homeless" plan (which was actually a proposal I gave in world cultures in high school when we had to do a report on world hunger and how we would stop it.)

I may have to reevaluate my plan now :glare:

Just replace it with "stop homelessness and hunger by not feeding the homeless."

Swift: "A Modest Proposal." Lucky your teacher was uneducated, or you might have gotten popped for plagiarism.

They didn't go for it then, either. Even though they could have saved the future world the horror of Michael Flately.

Wow, never knew. Still, there is hope though, after all, society has never disappointed in what it is capable of doing to its own members during desperate times.
