"Old vs. New"

I found this photo on google, and thought it interesting to share:

These are the Pyramids of Giza, the ancient wonders of the world, next to modern day Cairo. Old civilization next to the new. I just thought it seemed to be a really neat photo, and somewhat humbling perhaps to the city that replaced what was once a Pharaonic capitol.

Perhaps others have seen photos running along this theme?

Wow, I never knew Cairo was that close to the pyramids. What a neat photo.

In Rome there are so many ruins just right in the middle of a bustling, modern city. It's very strange, but also very cool.
