Hey I was wondering if my laptop is good enough to run Crysis 1/2. Specs
2.1 Ghz i3
6 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 3000 (with 1 GB)

I've looked up the reqs online, and I seem okay, but I wanted to know if it would be able to run smoothly. Thanks.

I'm downloading the Crysis 1 demo, its 1.8 GB. with my download speed, its gonna take just under 2 days xD

I dunno about crysis 1 but crysis 2 sucks and is not worth a download.

If there is lag, the problem would definitely be your integrated video card. I would test it out (my laptop has the same integrated card since it's a sandy bridge processor, but I've also got a dedicated card) but I've only got Crysis 2 downloaded on my desktop.

I can tell you that the integrated card plays minecraft at almost absolute lowest settings at ~25-30 FPS for me, which is why I have some doubts that it can play Crysis. I just googled it and someone played Crysis 2 on the lowest settings at 20-30 FPS with the HD 3000 so it appears to be at least possible. You should also take into account the screen resolution that you'd be playing at, as I'm sure the guy who ran Crysis 2 was playing at the smallest resolution possible.

You can always go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ to see if you can run games. Doing so with my integrated card selected shows a failure for both Crysis and Crysis 2 in the video card department. If you want to game on a laptop, you need to buy one with a decent dedicated card, which is something most people overlook. I'm curious to see what your results are, though, so good luck.

How do you get a dedicated card for a laptop?

I'm downloading Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory now. Its an older game, so hopefully I can run it with max performance.

You'd have to buy one with it included to my knowledge. However, it's just like with desktops where some video cards are on the lower and some on the higher end, which all has to do with the price you pay.

Again when on that website, it fails with SC:CT in the video card department. However, I think it doesn't work too well with integrated cards, so go ahead and try it. I know it can run Portal/Half Life 2 on high settings from what I hear, so it should be able to run that.

Also, SRL is full of shit, says i failed Halo 1...when I can run it on max with tons of programs at the same time. I don't know what to trust now :(

Yeah, I think it just doesn't work well with integrated video cards. Any older games like that should run perfectly fine, though, but there are definitely limitations when it comes to anything recent such as Crysis 2.

You might be able to run crysis on the lowest settings at 800x600, but integrated video cards are horrible. I really doubt you would be able to.
