I was browsing the baen library this evening looking for a few new/old books to read and to my surprise they have a e-format of Robert A. Heinlein's "Take Back Your Government! (http://www.webscription.net/p-1154-take-back-your-government.aspx)" I was rather surprised and pleased to see it available again. It made me go into my physical library and pull out my copy and reread it. I think it's rather surprising on how over half a century later , it is still a great guide and overview of the political system.
Has anyone else here ever read it?

I have read several of Heinlein's novels, but none of the political commentary variety- assuming "Stranger in a Strange Land" is not to be counted. "Farmer in the Sky" was even less sagacious than the former.
Halfway through "Time Enough For Love", but haven't really seen a whole lot of interest in it, either...
What's "Take Back Your Government" about, though, and why is it important enough to warrant "Serious DIscussion"? I mean, no offense, but this seems less debate and more conversational.

If he were alive today, he'd be working on the sequel, We'd Like To Return It For A Full Refund.

Had a copy for years; my RAH collection is complete.
It's about how to utilize political activism to sieze control of local (or larger) government legitimately, from the inside. It's non-fiction.
It's less flashy than whingeing away in the street with giant puppets, but also more effective.
