What are some classics that would be cool to see re-made, or series re-popularized?

Here's a series I'm sure you'd likely agree with me needs to return:

5KA9S91A66k

I'd like to see that, and not watered down, or beefed up. Just classic Earthworm Jim.

And also, one that you may not have heard of, a Super Scope game called Battle Clash:

IGoFqMyFaZI

One of the best Super Scope games, even if the Super Scope games weren't that popular.

And plenty more. Care to share?

My vote's with Earth Worm Jim. I loved that game, and it's artwork. It actually had a great deal of influence on my cartoon style of character illustration.

Shadowrun

Not that blasphemous piece of drek they made on 360 recently. Real Shadowrun. Like the Sega Genesis one. Or to a lesser degree the SNES one. But not a top down 16 bit rpg. A big open world one, like Fallout 3 or Oblivion. That would make me shit with happy.

Not really re-made, but re-released: Earl Weaver Baseball, v1.5

It had a great statistical engine and an awesome physics engine, considering that it was a CGA (ie, 320 x 240 with 4 color) game designed to run on a 286 CPU. They came out with a sequel that had decent 3D graphics, but they lost the feel of the original game. I'd love a stats-based baseball game that gives you a full view of the field and allows pretty much any play to occur. No fancy close-ups, no player skins, just smooth graphics that make the game seem real via the action instead of the eye-candy.

I think that EWBB 1.5 is the only game where you could have a play where a batter hits a squibber that the pitcher picks up and throws past the first baseman into right-field, and then the right fielder bobbles the ball before throwing to third, where the runner is tagged out. Just fun stuff to watch.

I know its not a "classic game" but they should remake battlefield 1942. Best. multiplayer. ever. By far my favorite FPS ever, and I think they game doesn't get enough credit... ;-;

But yeah, I'd love to see a remake, it'd be the first game I've boughten since, well battlefield 1942... :P

Here's one that's debatable: FF7.

People are practically begging for a remake on PS3, but the truth is that it actually doesn't need one. The game was almost perfect on PS1 and had very good graphics, gameplay, minimal glitches, an all around excellent game. The only thing that they could maybe do with the game on PS3 is combine it all onto one disc, greatly improve the graphic quality of the terrain, characters, cutscenes, ect. and remove the minor bugs.

Funny thing is they were making a remake of Earthworm Jim for the PSP but it got cancelled. :<

I kind of wish they would remake a good version of Perfect Dark, with the same weapons and stuff. Goldeneye, CS 1.6 would be some great remakes. I really wish though, they would remake Crash Bandicoot 3 for the PSone, that level when you are on the tiger is the best, on the great wall of China.

Grim Fandango.

Sam and Max got their turn, Monkey Island is getting redone. Now it's Grim's turn.

Yeah, that probably would have been enough to get me to buy a PSP.

The only games that should be remade are the first 3 Ninja Gaiden games for the NES, specially the second one since it had some annoying plot holes.

No one plays those games for the plot. They play them for the titties.

I for one wouldn't be able to sit through a game with random encounters anymore, even if it did look pretty. I tried to replay FF9 and had to stop because of them.

I vote for Goldeneye. I would cream for that game to be remade (remade well that is).

Oooh! Perfect game for a remake- STALKER- Shadow of Chernobyl. This game has so many mods that it's just begging for a GOOD remake that isn't so buggy, clunky, and awkward.

Wind Waker is another good idea, like Master quest.

I want to see those three dungeons they cut out and replaced with the Tingle quest.

Beetle Adventure Racing anyone? On the N64, not very popular, but definitely one of my favorites.
