It's comin' up soon, so what're you expecting?
It's the 25th Zelda anniversary, so I hope something comes of that. And a new Starfox title wouldn't hurt either.

Great way to start this years' E3
E3 2011: Microsoft's site prematurely tips its hand for new Master Chief entry, "remastered" version of Combat evolved; Dance Central 2, Kinect game "Ryse" also shown.
Even though Microsoft's press conference isn't for another two hours, several of its biggest surprises have already been revealed. Briefly this morning, the official Xbox.com E3 page flashed the software giant's entire lineup for the show that included some major debuts.
According to a snapshot of the page acquired by CVG before it was hurriedly pulled down, the biggest game to be unveiled is Halo 4. Other than a screenshot of series heroine Cortana talking to the Master Chief, little was revealed about the game, other than it was a "return to the Halo universe."
Speaking of the Halo universe, the page also outed "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. As suspected, the game is an HD remake of the 2001 original, or, as Microsoft puts it: "The epic game that launched a universe, mastered for a new generation.
Also included in the leak was confirmation of Harmonix's latest boogie game, Dance Central 2. The news comes as no surprise, as Harmonix confirmed it would be showing a new game at the show and a domain name was registered for it just yesterday.
Lastly, the page showed something called "Ryse," a new title for Kinect. Besides its name, nothing more is known about the title, except that in it "you are the warrior" in an "action-packed Kinect experience."
Gamers eager to hear official word of the above-mentioned games can tune in to Microsoft's media briefing, which is slated for 9 a.m. PDT today.

E3 2011: WiiU boasts M-rated third-party support
Nintendo confirms Aliens: Colonial Marines, Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon Online, Tekken, Ninja Gaiden 3, Darksiders 2, Dirt coming to new console.
LOS ANGELES--As part of its 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo press conference today, Nintendo formally unveiled WiiU, marking its entry into the high-definition console market. Though it trails behind Microsoft and Sony by more than five years, Nintendo has wasted no time in attracting third-party publishers' more violent wares to its new, more powerful console.
In a sizzle reel promoting the WiiU, Nintendo confirmed a number of previously announced titles will also be coming to its new console. These titles include the recently announced Sega's Aliens: Colonial Marines, as well as THQ's Metro: Last Light, Namco Bandai's Tekken, Codemasters' Dirt, Ubisoft's Ghost Recon Online, and Tecmo Koei's Ninja Gaiden 3.
As part of a second teaser reel that featured a number of industry executives, THQ VP Danny Bilson confirmed that Darksiders 2 will be a launch title for WiiU, which is currently scheduled to arrive in late 2012. Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot also indicated that an installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise--one that includes multiplayer--would arrive for the console. However, he did not name-check the name of the publisher's latest game, Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
For more on Nintendo's latest announcements, check out GameSpot's live show from E3, which begins today at 12 p.m. PDT.

Nintendo's the only company that actually pushes the limits of what we know as video games in my opinion. Microsoft has systems that expand to do what we already do on computers and televisions. Sony's PSP does what handhelds had been doing for fifteen years prior, just with better graphics and multimedia capabilities. It surprises everyone that things we all want to do can be done on the same system, but other than graphics and games they don't bring anything new to the table. Arguably this is the best you can expect from a game company.
Nintendo has been a pioneer in everything they've done since 2004. They add a touchscreen to a game system and it's almost the bestselling system of all time. They are the first to try motion controls on a home system and it wins the generation. They are the first company to make 3D without glasses so easily available. None of these systems are flawless, but they are always something new and fresh. For that reason I don't have any doubts that this system will be something great. For a long time Nintendo's tradeoff has been graphics for that something new, and they've even eliminated that tradeoff this time.
Possible things that could go wrong:
~ System is fucking expensive. They've always had cheaper system, but good luck keeping a low price on something as sexy as this.
~ Every game is a remake of some kind. When's the last time an "original" game came out? Like, not Smash Bros., Super Mario, Mario Kart, etc. remakes
~ M-rated games suck on Nintendo consoles. IMO GTA4 may be a Wii game, but it will never be a Wii game. I'll probably play these on a 360.

Awesome music. And the new villain is impressively fucked up, though they cut out a good bit where he shows it in the cutscene. I posted that on my Skyward Sword thread.
