I cant possibly imagine how badly they wanted to call it "Transformers: dark side of the moon"
but of course that's taken.
why is society so interested in sequels any way. for whatever reason there cant be just a single good movie, it has to be part of a quadrilogy or whatever. They should have spent the time they used making this movie to think of a new idea. There are hardly any new Ideas in movies anymore, they area just new versions of old things.

Sequels probably have a much higher return on investment than brand new properties, at least if they are taken as a group. It's tough to figure out what will make a "new" movie a huge moneymaker, and enough films miss that mark to make it risky as far as investing in them. But you can probably guarantee a certain amount of revenue from a sequel, even if it's bad.
Same thing with remakes, though they tend to be less reliable IMO.

Never mind. After seeing the following video, evil robots will never be the same.
